Thank God for Google Maps* or I would have never found Four Horsemen Brewery. Four Horsemen is a nano brewery with BIG goals and personality, as well as a hidden gem in King County, WA. Dane, Dominique and Justin showcase their love of beer in the backyard of Dane and Dominique’s parent’s house. Don’t let that fool you. They have plenty of parking space and seating for beer lovers and special occasions. Seating is all out doors, but there is a large tent and heaters for questionable Western Washington weather. Bonus, kids and dogs are welcome too. Make it a family outing. Dane and Dominique shared with me that they have large goals, but they are taking them in small, incremental steps. From what I experienced, their goals are threefold; celebrating their guests, becoming fully sustainable, and supporting local farmers. Goals:
Honor Guests. First and foremost, they want to treat everyone as family and friends. The owners are warm and welcoming to everyone that honors them with their presence. I felt this warmth as I first walked up to taps. Dane and Dominique both greeted me, asked me how I was doing, and what they can get for me. Plus, if you wish to host a fundraising event at Four Horsemen, they do not require a rental fee. They want you to fully retain all the money at your fundraising event.
Reach for Sustainability. Four Horsemen wants to have a zero carbon footprint. They know they have a long ways to go, but each day brings them closer. They have plans to use the spent grains for fresh bread products (even dog biscuits), feed chickens & livestock at local farms. They also want to start a garden and use the CO2 from fermentation to grow more abundantly.
Stay Local. Washington grown and produced grains, hops, fruits and honey are used for brewing. Even the water is collected in rain barrels to cool the wort. Soon they could be filtering rainwater for brewing. Buy local, drink local.
Dane, Dominique and Justin are following their dreams. For these three, they have learned that dreams takes hardwork, ingenuity, and other part-time jobs outside of the brewery to pay for the dream. To learn more about these beer lovers, stop by the brewery and chat with them. Or, you can read about them in their 'About Us' section on the website.
I highly recommend everyone checking them out on May 5, 2017 for their Kick Off To Summer Party. Come for the release of their Black Zomberry Lager; and stay for the Cornhole Tournament (cash prizes), Tacos and sodas. Register for the Cornhole Tournament on the Four Horsemen website.

BONUS MATERIAL: Travis Loves Beer shares beers with me, but this video shows you that me needs to practice more at talking to a camera.

FYI: The Four Horsemen Brewmaster explained that "something weird on the back end" is intentional. The beer finishes clean and the flavor drops to cleans the palette.
