Brewing Beauty here - Millennial beer-lover in Brooklyn, NY :) As a 20-something-year-old photographer - I am finding solace in good beer and good people - sharing with you all my favorite beer experiences from the Greater New York City area and beyond! From brewery highlights to Beer & Food pairings - get ready for a steady flow of craft beer and opinions from this girl!
When it’s finally Spring in NYC – we go to The Well. It was 78 degrees and overcast in Brooklyn – perfect for day drinking in their huge Bushwick backyard. This past Saturday was their pig roast & beer event – Brooklyn Can N ‘Cue – with an incredible lineup of local brews (see list below!) This event was without a doubt the highlight of my weekend.
Off the Montrose L subway stop – The Well is located on Meserole Street in Bushwick. With an extensive tap & bottle list, cozy couches, and a very sizable backyard – there should be no wonder why I am a regular 😉 As for their Brooklyn Can N ‘Cue event this weekend – pre-sale for a plate of the pig was $15 or $35 for a plate + a mixed 4 pack. We opted for the latter and were not disappointed. With a great selection of local IPAs (Grimm, Interboro, Greenpoint, LIC, KCBC, etc.,) every 4 pack was well worth the pre-sale price. (However – I was not too shy to ask directly for the Grimm Magnetic Tape – which has been on my wishlist.) What I didn’t know until arriving was the BBQ was not a closed event. This was perfect for our friends that wanted to enjoy the event’s atmosphere without the commitment. With cornhole, music, good food & beer – we spent the whole day soaking up the sun. With many more summer events to come – feel free to join me next time.
